Written by Michael Clark October 2nd 2017

The next meeting of the Welsh Wound Network will be on December 19th 2017 at the Welsh Wound Innovation Centre, Llantrisant. The meeting is free for all to attend and places can be booked by e-mailing

The meeting will feature several presentations reporting a partnership between WWIC, the Pressure Ulcer Prevention and Intervention Service (PUPIS) and tissue viability clinicians from ABMU and Hywel Dda University Health Boards. The partners came together to develop methodology through which powered hybrid mattresses could be evaluated in the laboratory and in clinical use.

There will be opportunities to present 5 minute 3-slide talks upon any aspect of tissue viability and wound healing. If you want to reserve a speaking slot e-mail us at

The day will also be used to celebrate the 2017 STOP Pressure Ulcer Day.

Look forward to seeing you on December 19th.
