STOP Pressure Ulcer Day celebrated at the Welsh Wound Innovation Centre

Written by Michael Clark December 7th 2015

Over 90 clinicians and members of the public visited the Welsh Wound Innovation Centre on November 19th to celebrate the global STOP Pressure Ulcer day.  During the day presentations were given on what it is like to experience pressure ulcers with hands-on demonstrations showing how pressure can be managed using cushions and mattresses and the importance of good nutrition.  A video from Public Health Wales was also shown to highlight that pressure ulcers remain a key health challenge in Wales.  Of course great food was available especially the STOP Pressure Ulcer cakes!  Thanks to all who worked over 2015 to plan the event and we look forward to the STOP Pressure Ulcer Day 2016.
