Improving clinical care for people with wounds

Living with wounds

Written by Michael Clark December 16th 2013

The Welsh Wound Network was developed as a collaboration between academics, clinicians and colleagues from industry to improve care for people with, or at risk of wounds in Wales.  Ideally this collaboration should extend to involve interactions with the public and one example of this was our successful STOP Pressure Ulcer campaigns.  During the preparation for the STOP Pressure Ulcer day in 2013 the WWN was placed in contact with an individual who agreed to share their experience of living with a pressure ulcer.  Their experience is shared in the first WWN Living with Wounds document available from this page.  We would welcome other first-hand accounts of the impact of wounds upon our lives.
