Written by Michael Clark March 19th 2018

The conference will include an extended case study focus on reducing pressure ulcers in high risk areas such as end of life care, oncology, the frail elderly in care homes and in people who have a prior history of pressure ulcers or complex wounds.

Practical case studies and in depth extended sessions will focus on reducing and preventing pressure ulcers, pressure ulcer grading and reporting including unstageable pressure ulcers, latest evidence on risk assessment, effective nutrition and hydration for pressure ulcer prevention and getting patients up, dressed and moving to reduce pressure ulcers, including an update from the #EndPJParalysis campaign. The event will look at this issue of avoidability and discuss the latest evidence on what is actually considered unavoidable.
